What is Plastics

What is Plastics   Plastics is a synthetic material made from a wide range of organic polymers such as polyethylene, polypropylene, PVC, nylon, etc., that can be molded into shape while soft, and then set into a rigid or slightly elastic form. In other words,   Plastics are Macromolecular structured Polymer (Polymer is made up of many repeating simple chemical units, known as Monomer.).    We can say,   All plastics are Polymers, but all polymers are not Plastics, they may be Fibers, Elastomers (rubbers) or adhesives.   In simple words plastic is one of the family member of polymers. ADVANTAGES OF USING PLASTICS • Wider design freedom • Light in weight   • Higher strength to weight ratio  • Corrosion Resistant.   • Easy Process ability.  • Low Energy Required for  Manufacturing  • Minimum post finishing required  • Low creep  • Wide color range • Better aesthetics ...

Realities Of Plastics

Some people believe that..   The production of plastics uses much of natural resources.    Fact is that..    The production of all plastics consume just 2% of oil and natural gas resource.      Plastic resins require far less energy to produce than most alternative materials.  Some people believe that..     The largest component of all municipal solid waste is plastic.  Fact is that..     The largest component by weight is   Paper and Paperboard (36%),   followed by  yard waste (20%),   Metals (10%),   Food waste (9%),   Glass (8%),   Plastics (7%)  and   Other miscellaneous waste (10%).    IN INDIA PLASTICS WASTE IS ONLY 4% OUT OF WHICH 60% ARE RECYCLED AT PRESENT.  Some people believe that..     Plastics are Toxic.   Fact is that…    Plastics are not Toxic.    These a...

Fully Automatic Injection Molding Machine

Fully Automatic Injection Molding Machine Principle    In fully Automatic Injection Molding Machine, All operations are performed by automatically. The main working principle of plastics molding machine is to use the plastic thermal property and physical property.   First the material loader load the material into the hopper and the material is feed in feed zone and the material outer surface is soften, compression melt in the barrel under the effect of heat and shearing by the rotation of screw and injected into the mold and cooled.  After the product forming the product ejected from the mold. Machine Specification     HDC 200 (Available soon)                                           INJECTION UNIT   Hopper   The plastic material is loaded in the hopper by the help of hopper loader. Barrel  Barrel has hollow cyli...

Parts Of Injection Mold

Parts Of Injection Mold 1. Fixed Clamping Plate or Top Plate   2. Runner Stripper Plate  3. Cavity Plate  4. Core Plate  5. Back Plate  6. Spacer Block  7. Ejector Retainer Plate  8. Ejector Back Plate     9. Movable Clamping Plate  10. Impression  11. Sprue  12. Runners  13. Gates  Fixed Clamping Plate or Top Plate It holds the fixed side of the mold to be attached with the fixed platen of the injection molding machine. On this plate, locating ring, eye  bolt and sprue bush are attached. Runner Stripper Plate This plate is used in three-plate molds. The function is to cut the runner from the nozzle and pull the runner by length bolts and puller pin.  Cavity Plate It is used to hold cavity side of product, leader pin, guide pillar, support pin, puller bolts and finger cam with the slider attached. Core Plate   It is used to attach the core side of product, return pin, leader bush...

TYPES AND QUALITY OF LEADERS

TYPES OF LEADERS   Different types of leaders in an industry can be classified as under:  According to Style of Leadership:  1. Authoritarian or Autocratic leaders  this type of leaders drives their gang through command and by developing fear in their followers. Such leaders give orders; assign duties and responsibilities without consulting the employees or caring for their opinions. Such leaders never like to delegate their powers.  2. Democratic or Consultative leaders  these leaders always work according to the wishes of their followers. They frame the policies and procedures in consultation with them but sometimes such leaders also work as a moderator of the ideas and suggestions of the gang.  3. Persuasive Leaders  Such leaders influence their followers due to his personal contacts, to join with him in getting things done. He gives directions personally and whole of the gang responds to his call, because they love and respec...

TWO-DIMENSIONAL DRAFTING

TWO-DIMENSIONAL DRAFTING  Creating a drawing in the X and Y coordinates on a plane or paper is termed as two-dimensional drafting. In 2D drawing distance are measured from the origin of two axes namely X and Y. The axes could be fixed during the creation of elements (called absolute mode) or there may be an option for the automatic shifting of axes, so that distances are measured from the end of each successive element (called incremental mode).  All the existing CAD software divides options into three main categories –   1. Creation tools  2. Modifying tools (Editing tools)  3. Support tools (Aid tools) Creation Tools  All existing CAD systems provide users with curve entities, which can be divided into analytic and synthetic entities. Analytic entities are points, lines, arcs, circles, conics, rectangle and polygon. Synthetic entities include splines and Bezier curves.  Creation Tools  1. Points  2. Line  3. Arc...
