Principle
In fully Automatic Injection Molding Machine, All operations are performed by automatically. The main working principle of plastics molding machine is to use the plastic thermal property and physical property.
First the material loader load the material into the hopper and the material is feed in feed zone and the material outer surface is soften, compression melt in the barrel under the effect of heat and shearing by the rotation of screw and injected into the mold and cooled.
After the product forming the product ejected from the mold.

INJECTION UNIT
Hopper
The plastic material is loaded in the hopper by the help of hopper loader.
Barrel
Barrel has hollow cylindrical shape on which heater are sated according to the zone as feed, compression, and metering zone.
Screw
It is a helical flighted metal which are rotated in the barrel and shearing action is occurred.
Heater
Heater are used to melt the material. Heater is mounted on the barrel and material is melted under the effect of heat. Generally band heater are use in injection molding machine.
Thermo Couple
It is used to sense of measure the temperature of heater. It send signal to the connector (PLC) which as used to control the temperature.
Hydro Motor
It is a mechanical actuator that converse hydraulic pressure and flow into torque and angular displacement (Rotation) by the help of hydro motor the screw is rotated into the barrel. The mechanism of hydro motor is to convert the hydraulic energy into mechanical energy.
Nozzle
The device mounted at the end of the heating barrel which cause the material flow from the barrel into the mold.
Tie Bar
It is used to forward and backward of the Injection unit. It is slide on the tie bar.
Shod Capacity
It is the amount of the material which can be injected (It is the capacity of Injection molding machine) into the mold. Which is maximum capacity of injection molding machine.
NRV (Non Return Valve) {Ring Plunger}
It’s main function is injected material not comes into the barrel and supported the hold on pressure.
CLAMPING UNIT
It is used for clamp the mold and keep closed against injection pressure created by the injection process.

Locating Ring
It is fixed in feed platen of the mold which is used for the alignments of the nozzle to the mould feed system. It’s another named is register ring.
Fixed Platen
The fixed platen of the molding machine that are not travel ( Open and closed ). Generally cavity of the mold are fixed into the fixed platen.
Moving Platen
The platen of the molding machine that travel ( Open and Closed ) is called as moving platen.
Ejection System
Ejection System is the system which are used to ejected the product from the mould

Daylight
The distance between fixed and movable platen is called as daylight.
Control Unit
In this unit are micro processor of PLC are used to set the program and it is control the operation like – Mold open, Mold closed, Injection, Ejection etc.
Mold Open
The displacement of moving platen from the mold close to mold open.
Mold Closed
The displacement of moving platen from the mold open to mold close.
Injection Speed
Injection speed is the maximum speed of screw the machine capable of during injected.
Injection Unit Forward
The section of molding machine has contain the injection unit. In this unit hopper, heater, barrel, nozzle also a forward and backward with injection unit.
Safety Precautions
Smoking is strictly prohibited in processing shop floor.
Do not wear loose garments for your own safety.
Do not start any machine in the absence of instructor unless you are well familiar with it.
Before switching ON any switch, valve etc. Acquires sufficient knowledge of the system.
Inform immediately your instructor about any inquiry of accident.
Avoid day dreaming, be alert and mind your own job.
Do not over confident which may lead to major accident.
Before starting the work be certain that the working area is clear, dry and oil free. Practice good house keeping.
Avoid direct air blast on skin, do not play with air hoses.
Use heating resistance hand gloves and goggles, while handling hot melt and dies.
Always wear safety glass and goggles.
Do not repair equipment when it is motion.
Do not keep loose pieces on machine bed when it is running.
Use the instruments properly when handling the machine or the molds.
Do not use any iron part inside the mold.
